WITNESS: a song for METEORLIGHT

We’re pleased to be able to present WITNESS, a song for METEORLIGHT, written and performed by Aislin Evans.

Witness is a song written by Aislin Evans, for the animated short film METEORLIGHT by Jonny Eveson. Originally this song was intended to be used over the end credits, but due to the credits for the film being 20 seconds long, it sadly wasn't enough time for us to use the song in full. So to celebrate one year since METEORLIGHT was broadcast on BBC Four, we created a music video for the song! We hope you like it! You can still watch METEORLIGHT in full on the BFI Player. WITNESS was initially commissioned to play over the credits of creative director Jonny Eveson’s short film Meteorlight. However, we were unable to use the song for various reasons (mainly that the film was to be played on BBC Four, brag brag) and it ended up languishing on our hard drive for six months.

We loved the song too much to let it die alone with only three people having heard it. So, in the summer of 2019, we got together with singer/songwriter Aislin and cameraman Ollie to make a short music video as a companion piece to Meteorlight.
