METEORLIGHT is a film about light in a world of darkness. It was written, animated and directed by our creative director Jonny Eveson as part of the BBC and BFI’s Animation 2018 project. It premiered at the BFI Southbank, before later being aired on BBC Four. The full film is available to watch on the BFI Player.
The film features a phenomenal soundtrack from BAFTA-nominated composter Blair Mowat (Doctor Who, Class), sound design from Helen Dickson (Years & Years, Gentleman Jack) and audio mix from Eli Rainsberry (Wilmot’s Warehouse, Jetstream).
The film also features a custom language made by our producer Lindsey, who has a double life as a published linguist. You can read an essay she wrote about the language’s grammar and structure here.
Chicken Fruit also enlisted musician Aislin Evans to create a companion piece to METEORLIGHT. You can watch the music video for that here, and read more about its development here.
