Who are Chicken Fruit?

Chicken Fruit is an independent animation studio based in London, UK. We were established in 2019 by Jonny and Lindsey.

Jonny is a designer, animator and director. He has been working in motion design and animation since 2005. He is a BAFTA-longlisted director of animated films, and has previously worked across studios such as MPC, DNeg, The Mill and Framestore.

Lindsey is a producer, writer and linguist. She has worked across print media, film and charity since 2011, and has been certified as Carbon Literate by the BAFTA Albert Consortium.

Our work

Chicken Fruit particularly enjoys working on projects for charities good causes. We have previously made animations for Greenpeace, Mermaids, Galop and The Big Issue.

We have worked on out-of-home campaigns at the Outernet in London, the Printworks in Manchester, Piccadilly Circus, Shibuya Crossing, Times Square and the Burj Khalifa.

On smaller screens, we have worked on TV adverts; animations for children’s TV; film titles; music videos; game assets; book trailers and short films.

Our 2024 short film Loneliness & Laundry won several awards, including the Short Animation Grand Prize at Tokyo Anime Award Festival, the Audience Award at the British Animation Film Festival, the Best Animation Short at the Festival of Short Film and the Best All Form Animation Award from the DRAWTASTIC Animation Festival.
