The first of our two 2025 collaborations with Copperworks Studio was an immersive out-of-home experience for Disney+ at the Printworks in Manchester city centre.
Out of the five screens in the Printworks building, Chicken Fruit were chiefly tasked with the large centre screen on the ceiling of the Pump Yard. To make a DeepScreen effect, we built a 3D set extension to make the ceiling appear higher than it is, and had characters from five featured Disney+ IPs interact with this extension, creating an impression of depth.
We also tied the animations on the Pump Yard screen in with animations done by the Copperworks team on the ceilings of Balloon Lane and Mark Lane, making a huge, cohesive and immersive OOH experience for viewers and passers-by.
Featured IPs were Frozen, Lilo & Stitch, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, The Fantastic 4: First Steps and Alien: Earth. Most IP assets were supplied by Disney+ (but Chicken Fruit made the tentacle for Percy Jackson).
